Few silhouettes have endured the shifting tides of fashion like the Nike Air Force 1. Since its debut in 1982, the model has continuously reinvented itself through collaborations, materials, and design language. The latest "Medium Ash" edition is another chapter in that evolution, pushing boundaries with high-fashion-inspired finishes and unapologetically rugged aesthetics.
Constructed with a fully pre-distressed suede upper, the pair leans heavily into worn-in character. Thick rope laces and oxidized hardware, including a screwed-on Swoosh panel, create a brutalist contrast to the typically clean-cut AF1 build. The tongue tag, too, is bolted into place—another nod to the deliberate roughness.
While terrace-ready AF1s are often polished and pristine, this rendition goes the other way. Its anti-minimalist stance evokes runway pieces from high-fashion houses like Balenciaga or Rick Owens, challenging the idea that less is more. The sole unit continues the aged aesthetic with faded black overlays and textured wear patterns underfoot.
No release date has been confirmed for the Nike Air Force 1 Low "Medium Ash," but we will update our Nike Release Dates page when more information becomes available.
In other news from Nike, Kobe Bryant's snakeskin-laden Air Force 1 is expected to arrive in "Black" this coming Spring.
