The Air Force 1 has been an expression of self for decades. The original Uptown was a status symbol, and ever since, it has been used to showcase one’s personality through color, material, and customization. The latter category has only recently been taken on board by the brand, with the better part of last decade providing the sneaker with Nike By You releases, as well as off-the-shelf pairs that were built to customize through sharpies, tear-away panels, and velcro patches. For its newest release, Nike delivered a multi-color creation that enables you to tack on and remove patches to upper at your perusal.

With red and yellow leathers providing the pair’s base, the Swoosh has tacked-on hook and loop overlays of beige and Swooshes of mint green that act as your canvas, with playful Nike-branded patches included. Completing the design are bold blue heel overlays, and nylon tongues work with bright white laces and jet black liners, with yellow branding and —unfittingly — an all-white sole unit underfoot.
