Nike's "Mushroom" Collection Grows with Special Air Force 1 Low

Although much of Nike Sportswear's plans for 2025 are still under wraps, the imprint has teased a number of collections prepped for spring and summer. Case in point?: A mushroom-inspired lineup set to include the iconic Air Force 1 Low.

Having already landed on a kid's Air Jordan 1 Low, the fungi-theme has found a new home in Bruce Kilgore's "presidential" design from 1983. Akin to the Air Jordan-counterpart, the AF1 features a medley of pastel colors perfect for the impending warmer months. Shades of pink appear across suede panels on the upper, an update to the old school basketball shoe. Leather layers and tried-and-proven sole units underfoot deviate in off-white, allowing for the pastel pinks to revel in the spotlight. And yet, the pair's most eye-catching details arrive in the form of mushroom attachments on the laces, as well as floral embroidery around the vamp.

Elsewhere, cork construction replaces traditional materials on the tongue label and insoles, further amplifying the Air Force 1's nature inspiration.
