New York is having a moment, and Nike is keeping the city at the center of the conversation.

Fresh off the Knicks securing their first NBA championship in 53 years, Nike has already leaned into the celebration with new championship gear and a Nike NYC By You Air Force 1 release tied to the city’s basketball energy. Now, the Swoosh is adding another chapter with the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low “NYC,” the latest New York-themed Air Force 1 to arrive in the beloved 2001 shape.

The pair keeps the base classic, working from a clean white leather upper that lets the details carry the story. Blue and orange mismatched Swooshes nod directly to New York basketball, while “NYC” embroidery appears on the tongue and heel. “2026” branding also hits the rear quarter, tying the release to the moment and giving the pair a more commemorative feel.

The biggest draw remains the build itself. Nike’s revived 2001 Air Force 1 shape has quickly become a key talking point for longtime collectors, bringing back the proportions and feel many consider among the best eras of the model. On this release, that shape is paired with a city-first execution that feels especially timely given the Knicks’ championship run.

Inside, the pair adds one of its strongest details: special insoles featuring a blurry picture of Madison Square Garden. One insole includes “NYC” branding, while the other features “2026,” further connecting the release to the Garden and New York’s current basketball moment.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “NYC” is set to release on June 18 for $140 as a pre-order that ships in October, 2026. Stay tuned for more details.
