Nike Air Force 1 Low “OG Reptile” Arrives September 22
Nike is looking far and wide for inspiration for the Air Force 1′s 40th anniversary, from special-edition releases that tribute the subcultures that helped the silhouette flourish at street level, to “Wold Champ” releases that celebrate its place at the top of the hill. On a handful of occasions, it’s also been informed by its original 1982 release, with a few white and grey options deriving directly from Bruce Kilgore’s debut release. As is the case for this Nike Air Force 1 Low “OG Reptile” which, if you haven’t guessed by the name, dresses an OG-blocked release in faux reptilian finishes.
Set up with a throwback element from the jump, the pair’s sail and grey sole unit sets the heritage tone from the go, From there, all-white uppers and grey liners link back to the original High release, but it comes with a twist; smooth leathers are replaced by tumbled, and its overlays for a heavily-textured suede reptile finish — faux, of course. It’s met by plush mesh tongues, tonal tongue branding and dubraes, and grey liners to complete the design.
Grab a first and official look at this OG-inspired, reptile-riddled Nike Air Force 1 Lows, and expect to learn more on this pair’s release in the coming weeks. As always, be sure to give us a follow on Twitter for further updates.
