Nike Korea is set to celebrate its 5th anniversary of the SNKRS launch platform with a special regional-exclusive release of the 40th-anniversary Air Force 1.

Dubbed the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Pojangmacha,” the pair pays tribute to the cultural phenomenon of cheap food stands that are fluttered throughout the country. Serving up low-cost delicacies like Korean blood sausage, an array of fried foods, soda, and quick snacks, the vendors have become the backbone of the nation’s convective habits. This special release honors these cherished stalls through a two-toned upper of white and chili red as a nod to the signature sauce used in spicy ddukbokki, while illustrated insoles serve up some skewered snacks. The canvas heel tab shows a subtle tribute to the tents which these vendors use for shelter, while a simple sail sole unit sits underfoot to complete the design.

A release date for the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Just Stitch It” has been pinned for September 25th, with pairs set to release exclusively on Nike Korea.
