In its 38 years of service, the humble Nike Air Force 1 has seen it all. There’s been no other sneaker in history that’s been tweaked, retooled, remastered, overhauled, torn apart and reconstructed more than the Uptown. It’s a perfect blank canvas for creative freedom and Nike has allowed it to be the center point for experimentation for years. Through all that, though, it’s never really flirted with its own DNA — aside from OG retros, of course. But lately, we’ve seen the sneaker pay tribute to its past, with the recently-released and heavily deconstructed “Blueprint”, to this new “Schematic” aesthetic that you see below.

This two-pair pack continues the design-inspired theme that was championed by last year’s “Sketch to Shelf” packof Air Max 1s and has since been seen on a slew of silhouettes like the React Element 55 and more recently, the Nike Blazer. These pairs bring with it sketchy elements, but also semi-schematics, with panels numbered 1 through 9, stitching lines and more all etched into what is actually a one-piece upper. Aside from the heel overlay, the sneaker utilizes a foam-like upper that has been embossed along the traditional stitching lines, giving a 3D effect that mimics the customary leather layering. Pen lines highlight the depth further, with the only apparent stitching arriving at the aforementioned overlays and at the heel seam. It sits atop a classic white sole unit and comes complete with schematic-inspired insoles. It comes in two colors (so far): “Summit White” and “Laser Orange”.

Take in a detailed look at these two Air Force 1 Lows below, and you can expect a release to hit select Swoosh stockists and Nike.com soon. Make sure you’re following along with us on Twitter for further updates.

Update 03.06.20 Retailers 43einhalb, BSTN, and Nike Australia have the pairs listed for a March 12th drop — but a Stateside release is yet to be confirmed, so stay tuned for more.
