The 40-year-old Air Force 1 continues to dazzle and delight in its anniversary year, with its next-in-line release doing a little bit extra than most, thanks to the inclusion of patent leather to the pair’s overlays.

Prepared in classic smooth leathers, the pair settles on white as its base, with sole units underfoot to match. It’s liners, tongues, and laces are white, too, resulting in an ultra-minimal anchor point for the release. From there, Nike has tacked on jet-black rear overlays, and “Sanddrift” Swooshes and tongue tags — all in high-gloss patent leather — to complete the design.
