Over the past few years, Nike has kept their cult-followed Air Force 1 Mid on ice, instead, shifting their focus heavily towards the widely-loved Low. But with the silhouette now in the midst of its 40th-anniversary celebration, it’s all hands (and models) on deck. It made a triumphant return on a duo of NYC-themed releases, and will also lend itself to collaborations from Stussyand OFF-WHITE in 2022, too. Before we get there, the Swoosh has recently unveiled a handful of new GR drops, including the return of the “Independence Day” colorway, and now, this all-new option in white, olive, and orange.
Pairing beautifully-pebbled leathers of white and light olive, the pair then looks to striking Total Orange jewel Swooshes to create a statement at the midfoot. The straps and forefeet follow its lead, applying hi-vis orange thread to its mini Checks, too. Tongue tags look to its brass dubraes for coloration, while the sole unit below opts for an aged-look sail and cream combination. What’s more, the inside label features a playful comic, which depicts two anthropomorphic Swoosh men in conversation. Below, the quote states the following: “Inside out or outside in, as long as you’re right within.”
A release date for this new Air Force 1 Mid is yet to be revealed but with official images now available, one would suggest that a release is happening very soon. Until more details emerge, grab a detailed look at the pair here below, and be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further developments.
