Nike's Eco-Friendlier Air Force 1 Next Nature Lands in "Soft Pearl/Particle Pink"
Bruce Kilgore's Nike Air Force 1 design has led the innovation charge on several occasions throughout its 40+ year trajectory. In recent memory, the "presidential" silhouette has helped the brand with its eco-friendly Next Nature program.
For a footwear product to join the Next Nature catalog, it must be built with at least 20% recycled materials by weight. Other popular franchises from the Nike Sportswear family have also join the eco-conscious fight, but few have been able to compete with the Air Force 1 Low. The sneaker's latest take includes a "Soft Pearl/Particle Pink" color scheme that's also emerged on the ever-popular (and comfortable) Vomero 5.
Its top-half favors understated shades of pink, while the tried-and-proven sole unit opts for a faux-aged finish that complements the upper well. The bottom-half is where most recycled material has been featured on other Next Nature products, and the AF-1 is no different.
