Nike is doing the most with the Air Force 1 for its 40th anniversary, from collaborations with Louis Vuitton to Wrestling Belt-wielding releases. The silhouette’s mainline release schedule is delivering quality, too, like this upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low “White Malachite” that sends a handful of nods to the silhouette’s big birthday bash.
Uppers of sail leather and sole units of white provide the pairs anchor, before a slew of Malachite green accents flood the pair. Leather heel and Check overlays, forefoot mini Swooshes, midsole paint, and special “1”-branded tongue tags are all decorated in the titular hue, as do the 82-22 insole motifs. The 40th-anniversary celebration comes into play again at the lateral ankle via barely-there debossing, with metallic gold dubraes and upper eyelets adding a touch of extra importance. Lastly, the pair is completed by retro Nike Air branding that’s in line with Bruce Kilgore’s original text specs.
While an official release date for this double-Swooshed Nike Air Force 1 Low “White Malachite” has yet to be revealed, the surfacing of product imagery would suggest that a release is on the way.
