Four decades is a long time to remain the center of attention, but the Air Force 1 has never shied away from the spotlight; in fact, one would say that the silhouette is lapping it up this year, with its 40th-anniversary celebrations discussed on a daily basis. Most of that sprouts from the continual run of celebratory releases, but there are still more than enough in-line colorways keeping the momentum rolling forward — like this new Air Force 1 “Team Red” which borrows classic Air Jordan color blocking.
Pictured here for the first time in kids sizing (an adult option is expected, too,) the pair shows a classic “Chicago”-style build of smooth white leather uppers, black Swooshes at the midfoot, and a bevy of red leather overlays. The latter, however, is drenched in a deep blood red, with its leather tongues following suit. Black laces and tongue tags rest above, while dubraes of Team Red enamel rest below; the pair is then completed by a simple white and black sole unit underfoot.
While an official release date for this new Nike Air Force 1 Low “Team Red” has yet to be revealed, the surfacing of product imagery would suggest that a release is on the way. Until more news arrives, grab a very first look at the pair here below, and be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
