It's no secret that some of the biggest players in the sneaker space have made a concerted effort to shine the spotlight on women athletes over the last handful of years. The Nike, Inc. empire has arguably been leading the charge, championing the likes of Caitlin Clarke, A'ja Wilson, and others. Ahead of spring, the Oregon-based brand will release Jewell Loyd's Nike G.T. Cut 3 in an eye-catching 'Multi-Color' ensemble.
Back in June 2024, the then-Seattle Storm guard debuted a paint splatter-covered Player-Exclusive (PE) edition of the performance-basketball sneaker against the Las Vegas Aces. As with so many other PEs, the pair was believed to never get a retail release. Official product images of Loyd's sneaker recently surfaced, however, giving credence to the idea that it'll hit shops in the near future.
Shortly before the 31-year-old WNBA guard laced up the unreleased G.T. Cut 3 against her current team, the Swoosh launched a swoosh face-covered pair co-designed by Loyd. The Nike Basketball offering also boasted a 'Multi-Color' ensemble, but its look was a lot tamer than the upcoming release. The G.T. 3 base is the same, but every panel – with the exception of the profile swooshes – dons a series of abstract splotches done in blue, red, yellow, and other hues.
