Age is not slowing down the Nike Air Huarache — in fact, it’s seemingly picked up more momentum as it’s gotten older. After a strong 30th anniversary in 2021, Tinker Hatfield’s legendary design has not missed a step in 2022, with the year birthing countless colorways in its stride, including this new winterized teal, black and yellow option for autumn.
Forgoing the silhouette’s heritage black and white base and colorful neoprene mix, the pair settles upon a muslin-tinted midsole and uppers predominately of teal. Retooling of the toe and overlays give the pair a boost in the weather-resistance field, while solid black booties, caging, and outsoles link the pair back to its early-90s roots. Lastly, pops of bright yellow hit the tongue branding, heel clip, and insole motifs to round out the design.
