Nike focus on sustainability is more evident than ever, with the overarching Move to Zero campaign hosting a bevy of earth-friendly products crafted for the betterment of the Earth. Headlining the push is the brand’s very audacious Space Hippie lineage, but notable efforts from the Air Jordan 1 High Zoom and a slew of recycled canvas NRG drops has recently caught the attention of the market. Their next creation will likely do the same, with these sustainable Air Max 1s already causing a stir in the few moments since leaked.
Featuring a similar smooth fabrication and tack-on stitching to the just-revealed Air Force 1 Crater Foam, and like recycled canvas overlays to the aforementioned NRG collection, this Air Max 1 screams sustainability from tail to toe. Uppers in white and black hoast barely-blue and salmon canvas overlays, whilst white sole units arrive with outsoles slightly flecked with grind rubber. Rich royal accents pop up sporadically, from the Air supports to the contrast Swoosh stitching, to upper eyelets and tongue liners, whilst electric green accents at the forefoot mini Swoosh and rear branding add some heavy saturation to the release. Completing the design is the NRG’s recyclable neon insoles, complete with grind rubber fleck.
