The exhilaration around the return of the OG "Big Bubble" Air Max 1 in March was arguably the peak of Air Max hysteria for 2023, however, the model’s 35th has much more in store. From the unusual vinyl toy-inspired "Sofvi" to the unique tooling of the "Tan Lines" release, the silhouette has begun its dive into off-the-wall concepts. In addition to these flamboyant options, Nike didn't disappoint the purists, delivering a simplistic, yet striking Nike Air Max 1 "Triple Black" for the Spring/Summer season.
The first glimpse in kids' sizes (though adult sizes are expected too) presented a model in straightforward coloring, exactly as the name suggested. The pair displayed traditional finishes, such as mesh uppers and nubuck overlays. Yet, Nike didn't shy away from adding a touch of contrast with a low-gloss leather Swoosh adorning the otherwise matte finishes.
A release date for this new interpretation of the Nike Air Max 1 “Triple Black” has been confirmed for September 30 at retailers like Finish Line.
