Where to Buy the Nike Air Max 1 “Ugly Duckling” (Pecan)

Though it hasn’t been as prevalent a feature of other anniversaries past, Tinker Hatfield’s Air Max 1 has still enjoyed a solid run for its 35t year; But according to our retail sources, the back end of the year (and early into next) will be absolutely loaded with new colorways — including this new Nike Air Max 1 “Ugly Duckling” (Pecan) revealed today by sources close to House of Heat, rumored to be inspired by the iconic “Ugly Duckling” Nike Dunk pack of 2001.

The second of two duck-riddled colorways to come, the effort sees an earthy mix of browns, tans, and golden yellows splayed throughout its elegantly-built body. Here, supple “Baroque Brown” suedes provide the anchor point for the pair, before a layering of Pecan and beige suede cover the midfoot and mudguard, respectively. “Yellow Ochre” Swooshes join the laces, and outsoles in hue, with the heel’s embroidered duck, also rendered in golden-yellow to complete the design.

Though a release date for this new Air Max 1 “Ugly Duckling” (Pecan) and its accompanying “Black/Honeydew” colorway has not yet been revealed, it is expected to hit shelves this Fall.
