The Nike Air Max franchise continues to play an important part in the brand's lineup of products and cultural relevance. The Swoosh has unveiled new iterations ahead of its March 26 celebration of the revolutionary technology, but it continues to reimagine the original Air Max 1 in refreshing styles.
Reported by the KicksFinder platform on X, the news comes as a bit of a surprise given the lack of energy between both parties. Premium Goods cemented itself as an exciting collaborator all the way back in 2006 when it reworked the Zoom Kobe 1 in one of its most celebrated makeovers to date, but its more recent projects with the Swoosh haven't been as well-received. It's possible, however, that the Oregon-based institution has looked to the boutique's founder, Jennifer Ford, in an attempt to further cement styles from the Air Max line as go-to options for women.
According to the report, Premium Goods' next collaboration with Nike will feature two color combinations: "White/Metallic Silver/Forest Green" and "White/Sport Red/Varsity Royal/Hyper Violet." Neither early spy shots or speculative mock-ups of the duo have surfaced as of this writing, but, if Ford's Air Force 1 Low projects from the 2020s are indicative of what's to come, expect two fashion-forward updates to the debut silhouette with visible Air cushioning.
During Awake NY's one-versus-one basketball tournament in Paris on June 27, Corteiz's founder wore one of the expected Premium Goods Air Max 1 releases. The pair features .02 and .04 text on the tongue labels, while different autumnal shades land atop a white base. The sneakers were spotted by X user @YoungCorey and gifted by ALL DAY, longtime friend of the late DJ Clark Kent and member of the ADDICTED TO FRESH (ATF) crew. Perhaps coincidentally, the sneaker features a similar aesthetic to "The List" Air Force 1 project by the late DJ. Packaging also includes "From Brooklyn To Houston" message, which could be a nod to Clark Kent's New York City origins.
Houston's Premium Goods is set to release the “Houston” colorway, which is limited to just 713 pairs—a direct tribute to the city’s area code, on July 13 for 7/13 day as a SNKRS pass exclusively in Houston, Texas. The "Brooklyn" pair is set to release on July 18 and is limited to 718 pairs— also a direct tribute to the city’s area code, with release details yet to be unveiled.
