The Air Max 2090 Arrives in All Black and Red

The futuristic take on the classic Air Max 90 — the Nike Air Max 2090 — continues to honor the OG in this, its 30th anniversary year, with yet another colorway eyeing a release this Fall.

Changing pace from its previously-preferred white-based options, the silhouette here boasts a bold black and red mix that’s as ominous as it is attractive. It’s Darth Maul-like facade draws from an all-red sole unit, with uppers migrating from a matching, menacing hue before shifting up to jet blacks above the eyestay, heel, and liner. Branding and exposed stitching arrive at each section in the alternate color, with the only deviation to the black/red schematic falling at the pair’s lightly-flecked rear pul and eyestays.
