Nike Air Max 270 React “2020” Joins Growing New Year Collection

Nike will be celebrating the new decade in style — literally — with a handful of extravagant editions of their evergreen Air Max line. Seemingly celebrating Chinese New Year at the same time, this “Sunset”-like Air Max 270 React joins an upcoming Air Max 90 in honoring the impending new years. But, unlike the Air Max 90, which is cemented in traditional Chinese reds and golds, this is a little more subtle, only referencing East-Asian culture on the left heel by-way-of a Chinese-inspired token. Perhaps we need to look at the “Sunset” gradient upper more literally to make a further connection — the sun setting, ready for the brand new Lunar Year that awaits behind it. The gradient finish isn’t exclusive to the upper, either, with pink-to-blue hues hitting the Air support shank. Upon closer inspection, the all-white overlays reveal barely-there traditional patterns, while purple pulls and eyestays, metallic silver embroidery hits, and icy blue translucent outsoles complete the design.

A release date for the Nike Air Max 270 React “2020” is yet to be revealed by Nike, but with the new year just days away, you can expect a release to follow very shortly.
