Nike‘s continued push into the growing Asian market has resulted in many regional exclusives of late. The Swoosh’s latest capsule has been based around the timeless Air Force 1 Low, a sneaker they hope to develop into a streetwear staple across the continent — but that’s not the only set of exclusives going around. Joining the previously previewed Metallic Gold “Shanghai” Air Force 1 Low for a regional-exclusive release is this complementary “City of Speed” Air Max 270 React.

While the Force is dedicated to the city’s street grids, the aptly-titled “City of Speed” Air Max 270 React pays tribute to Shanghai’s bullet train notoriety; it houses the two fastest trains on Earth. reaching top speeds of 267.8 mph and 236.12 mph respectively. Metallic silver overlays and midsoles and white uppers pay homage to the trains and their rails, while hits of metallic gold on the Swooshes, eyelets, tongue branding, and heel pull link it back to the traditional Chinese culture found on the accompanying Air Force 1. Other in-line ethos included are traditional-styled lineal art grace the insoles, as well as very subtly on the upper, and to complete the pair, Nike has modified a Shanghai character on the heel to incorporate their iconic Swoosh.

Take in a peep at the official images below, and those local to the greater Shanghai region can expect to see these pop up in select Swoosh stores very soon.
