The Nike Air Max 720 Experiments with Easter Egg-Like Blocking
Spring is here and that means the return of the long-awaited Air MaxSeason is here. With the weather turning and the lineage’s annual celebration right around the corner, we’ve started to see more Air-filled options arrive on the market. We’re also on the verge of Nike’s Easter-themed drops, and although this colorful Air Max 720 isn’t part of the brand’s official festive collection, it does draw from the holiday spirit.
The pair offers up intriguing new blocking which, in hand with the silhouette’s shape, appears to mimic the long-standing tradition of hand-painted Easter Eggs. Wavy panels of black, eggshell, mint green and orange are complemented by beige and black plastic overlays, while Air units arrive in a dull fuchsia. Gradient finishes arrive on the midsole plastics and rubber outsoles, the latter in an icy-to-neutral-to-fuchsia, and the pair is capped off with beige pulls and pads underfoot, with a final splash of pink-purple on the forefoot traction pad.
A release date for this egg-cellent Easter-themed Air Max 720 is set for March 12th, with retailers like YCMCstocking the drop. Until then, take in an official look at the pair below.
