The Nike Air Max 90 "Batman" Is Ready for Gotham
Since its debut 35 years ago, the Nike Air Max 90 has done a lot. In addition to high-profile collaborations and limited Quickstrike releases, Tinker Hatfield's iconic design has also taken on straightforward but fresh makeovers. Case in point?: A newly-surfaced 'Black/Yellow' outfit reminiscent of Gotham's Batman.
The 'Caped Crusader'-like color combination previously appeared on other Air Max silhouettes. Akin to its predecessors, the latest AM90 opts for a predominantly dark execution across the upper and sole unit. Base layers on the upcoming pair replace traditional fabric with a sturdier ripstop nylon; the tongue and panels around the heel follow suit. Branding hits throughout the iconic model deviate in a muted yellow that helps draw the connection to Batman's on-screen costume in the late 1980s.
Enjoy official photos of the two-tone pair ahead, as you wait for a firm Nike.com release. The shoes are expected to hit retailers at $135 USD.
