Nike Revisits the Air Max 90's "Black/Racer Pink" Look for Summer 2026

Much of NIKE, Inc.'s retro efforts are most often associated with the Air Jordan series thanks to the iconic status of Michael Jordan's signature line, but other franchises also see re-releases. Before Summer 2026 ends, the Swoosh has decided to revisit a bold-colored Air Max 90 last seen in 2021.

As was the case five years ago, the newly-relaunched retro runner sees a "Black/Racer Pink/White" color scheme the flirts with "Infrared"/"Solar Red" heritage while tapping into some of the predominantly two-tone ensembles that took over the Nike Sportswear category during the 2010s. The boldest hue of the trio animates most of the midsole, although the Air Max cassette favors a pitch-dark finish. Profile Swooshes and lateral "Air" branding bring "White" into the mix, breaking up the predominantly "Black" finish seen across the AM90.
