The humble Air Max 90 has been on a tear since its 30th-anniversary celebration kicked off early last year. And despite the fact that the party’s long gone, there’s no sure signs of a hangover. The sneaker has powered on into 2021 with countless new colorways from the bold and the beautiful, to the simple and tonal. This next-up black and gold arrangement arrives somewhere in between, with a sleek mesh, leather, and suede get-up divided across three colors.

Here, black mesh uppers arrive encased in tonal black suede and a supple leather Swoosh and mudguard. Liners, tongues, and laces follow in hue before a matte metallic gold finish is applied to the eyestays and rear branding. More gold is gushed into the visible Air supports which are surrounded by a jet black cassette and a striking bright white midsole. The design is then completed by a black rubber outsole underfoot, and white/gold branding at the tongue and insole.
