All-New Air Max 90 Celebrates Chinese New Year 2020

2020 is already earmarked as a big year for the world-renowned Air Max 90, a year in which the silhouette celebrates its 30th anniversary. But there’s also another party about to kick off — Chinese New Year 2020 — and Nikewill look to combine the two for one epic celebratory release.

This Nike Air Max 90 “CNY” arrives in its recently-revived OG makeup, and brings with it is a classic mix of mesh, leather, and rubbers, but it does come with a handful of new embellishments to bring in the new Lunar Year. Bold Metallic Gold Swooshes, profile branding panels, heel overlays, and Air supports to connect to the Nation’s fixation with the precious metal, while the regal red pops throughout further link the pair to Zhongyuan. Black leather mudguards also align with Chinese tradition, decked out in stylized debossed patterns, and the pair is complete with special Oriental-styled 2020 tongue and insole branding.
