While we await the release of the OG “Infrared”and “Laser Blue” Air Max 90s for its 30th Birthday celebration, Nike has been busy dishing up retro-inspired editions that almost feel like you’re smack bang at the start of the 20th Century’s last decade. From a colorful six-piece Infrared-blocked drop to Air Trainer-homaging releases, it really feels like we’ve stepped back in time. This pair, too, feels authentically 90s, arriving in a faded infrared-styled make. The overall palate feels as if the saturation knob has been turned down, with blacks fading to greys, Infrareds to light “Hyper Orange”, and the vamp’s grey to white — as if someone left the OG out in the sun too long.
