Available Now // New Air Max 90 With Retro Branding
The humble Air Max 90 has been on a tear since its 30th-anniversary celebration kicked off early last year, and despite the fact that the party’s long gone, there are no sure signs of a hangover. The sneaker has powered on into 2021 with countless new colorways from the bold and the beautiful, to the simple and tonal. This next-up Air Max 90 leans more towards the latter, with a mostly bright-white build reliant on a handful of color pops and intriguing retoolings for differentiation.
While its build remains mostly unchanged, small tweaks to the toe box — which here is constructed in perforated leather — and branding hits give the pair a subtle point of difference. The release features mostly white, though it dabbles in pigments with black Swooshes, maroon eyestays, Air cassettes, and rear overlays, as well as a muted rose pink at the toe and tongue liner. Traditional Nike Air branding at the tongue tag, insoles glaze, and lateral brand panels have been retooled with Nike’s retro cursive logos, while a colorful five-stripe medial eyestay rounds out the design.
