Slowly breaking free from the shackles of its debut monochrome drops, the Air Max 90 Futura has recently been spotted in a handful of experimental themes, including college colors and pastel pairings. But none of those quite measure up to the gaudy hues and intriguing textiles of this new Nike Air Max 90 Futura “Lunar New Year” fo 2023.
Living up to the color and vibrancy of the festival, the pair works with a simple white mesh base before layering on a slew of colors, including lilac, aqua, orange, and red. A lightly washed black nubuck guards gives the pair further eccentricity — not that it needs it — before a simple white, aqua, and black sole unit completes the design underfoot.
A release date for this new Nike Air Max 90 Futura “Lunar New Year” is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com soon.
