The Air Max 90 Joins the “Nike Icons” Collection
After brief visits to the Air Max 95 and Air Max Plus, Nike’s impending “Air Max Icons” series will expand to its first Tinker Hatfield-designed silhouette, with first looks at the Nike Air Max 90 “Icons” confirming a third pair in the series.
Thus far, the pack has remained relatively reserved, with OG-inspired colorways staying true to their original textile builds. This pair, however, goes way over the top with an overdose of chrome overlays set against it’s original Infrared colors. Grey mesh, white laces, and combination midsoles space out said accents evenly, leaving few — yet flashy — pops of black and red to shine. The pair is then completed by the pack-specific “ICONS” branded insoles.
A release date for this all-new Nike Air Max 90 “Icons” has just been set for May 1st for $130.
