30-Year-Old Nike Hiking Shoes Inspired this Two-Piece Air Max 90 “Lahar Escape” Pack

Nike is looking no further than its own back-catalog for inspiration on its latest Air Max 90 capsule, with this “Lahar Espace” duo homaging a 30-year-old hiking shoe.

1989’s Lahar hiking shoe’s two “Escape” editions (pictured below) provide the inspo for this two-piece pack, delivering like color combinations of White/Neutral Indigo-Smoke Grey and Light Cream/Alligator-Pale Ivory-Black — they’ve even gone the whole hog with flecked laces (I would have preferred fatties over flatties, though) and stencil-font “Lahar” labels on the tongues.
