The Nike Air Max 90 "Leopard" Shows Its Wild Side

Nike Sportswear has been reimagining some of the company's most iconic and innovative performance footwear as fashionable products for decades. As spring gets going, the lifestyle-focused division has reworked the Air Max 90 with leopard inspiration.

Part of a larger collection that includes the Air Force 1 Low "Cheetah" style, the latest take on Tinker Hatfield's beloved design features a reserved a trio of distinctly-popped pairs in Sanddrift, Rust Pink, and Bordeaux. Mudguards and TPU panels across the upper and sole unit draw attention with their seasonal tones, but play supporting roles to the wild suede update that appears at the toe and runs by the tongue. The spotted makeover injects an air of danger into the retro running silhouette, which has gone in and out of vogue throughout the last fifty years.

Underfoot, a partly recycled outsole rounds out the fashionable take on one of the most iconic Air Max models of all time.
