With a consistent feed of bangers this year, Nike is progressively building up the Air Max 90 in the leadup to its big 30th Birthday bash in 2020. Epic collaborations from Undefeated and The Basement have been amping up the iconic Air Max for the annual Air Max Day celebrations in March, which is tipped to be headlined by the return of the OG Infrared colorway. But before we get there, the Swoosh has a few more specials up their sleeve, including this upcoming NRG-devised “Camowabb” Air Max 90 drop.

Nike calls upon an ACG-inspired palette — a perfect Autumn mix of earthy beige, browns and dusty orange paired with black and muted purple — to really showcase the pair’s focus on its textural intricacies. The ultra-nappy suede mudguards hold in the laser-etched terrain pattern on the toe and mid-panel overlays that adds to the sneaker’s outdoor-inspired character. Classic mesh is used to construct the collar, with toe boxes matching in tone — yet it differs in textile, arriving in a textured ripstop-like material. Those same cream hues hit the liner, tongue, flecked laces and tongue and heel branding add-ons, while purple and ashy orange arrive on the sneaker’s rubberized hardware. Capping off the design is a handful of stark black flashes, namely the sole unit, textured Swooshes and lateral and heel branding.
