The Nike Air Max 90 is getting ready for a block-buster 2026.
Although the silhouette turned 35-years-old in 2025, it didn't enjoy too much special treatment from the Swoosh conglomerate given other anniversary celebrations in the year. Tinker Hatfield's iconic design, however, seems poised to revel in the spotlight in '26, promising a retro of the original "Infrared" style while also building out its roster of Special and Limited Edition releases.
The latest Premium option to surface features a "Light British Tan/Velvet Brown/Black" color scheme. On paper, the medley of tones isn't anything special, but its application on the silhouette is. The Air Max design features what appears to be a wood grain pattern integrated into its suede build. TPU components across the upper also deviate from the traditional, possibly referencing a vinyl record. Underfoot, the bulk of the midsole opts for a dark brown color that complements the top-half well.
Firm Nike.com release details haven't been disclosed as of yet, but the Air Max 90 Premium is expected to launch by May 2026. In the meantime, enjoy official product shots of the pair ahead.
