Nike Air Max 90 “Vinyl” Remembers Records of the Bygone Era
For the record, these are 🔥
After winding back the clock on a two-piece pack of “Mixtape” Air Maxes, Nike looks to dig further into the musical archives with this “Vinyl” Air Max 90. In case the young-heads don’t know, they’re inspired by old-school records — those things grandad plays James Brown from.
Resting atop a pale mint outsole, the sneaker’s upper pays homage to the bygone era of recording through it’s all-black make up — the color of choice for vinyl back in the day. But it doesn’t end there — circular ridged rubberized tongue detail mimics a classic 12-inch, with the grooved finish trickling down to the sneaker’s mudguard. Red hits on the upper eyelets and lateral branding harken back to central circular labels of the 70s, and the pair is completed with special mint-tipped laced.
