The OG Nike Air Max 90 “Obsidian” is Available Now

2020’s 30th Anniversary of the Air Max 90 is digging up some gems from the vault, including DQM’s “Bacon” collaboration and the OG “Laser Blue” and “Infrared”. But here’s an obscure one; the OG “Obsidian”, which hasn’t been seen since it’s 1991 release.

Originally reported last week to be a GS exclusive, further sleuthing has uncovered that there will in fact be a men’s release too, much to the delight of Air Max nerds the world over. At this stage, though, we’ve only got our hand on the Gradeschool images, and it does appear to arrive pretty much on par with the OG, save the color swap on the quarter’s “AIR MAX” branding panel from white to grey, and the inclusion of grey on the outsole’s forefoot. Aside from that, the GS imagery shows a true-to-OG leather build.
