Nike’s Air Max 95 enters its 31st year with no signs of slowing down, and the upcoming Nike Air Max 95 “Velvet Brown” is the latest reminder of just how durable Sergio Lozano’s design continues to be. Following a massive 30th-anniversary run that included Nike SB collaborations, the return of the OG “Neon,” and a packed slate of inline releases, the silhouette is carrying that momentum into 2026.

The “Velvet Brown” colorway builds on a familiar Air Max 95 formula, using layered gradients to add depth and contrast to the upper. Black anchors the base, while rich Velvet Brown tones wrap the lower panels and mudguard. Above that, softer hues of Light Violet Ore and Tattoo work through the signature ribbed side panels, giving the shoe its trademark muscle-inspired look without straying too far from neutral territory.

Material choices stay true to the model’s heritage, combining mesh uppers with suede and synthetic overlays for structure and texture. A blacked-out midsole grounds the design, while visible Air units in the heel provide the cushioning that made the Air Max 95 a performance standout and a lifestyle staple. Subtle Swoosh branding at the heel and classic “Air Max” tongue detailing round out the package.

The Nike Air Max 95 “Velvet Brown” has already begun landing at select global retailers, with a wider Nike.com release expected on January 13th, 2026.
