After a series of colorful and downright weird unveilings, Nike’s Air Max 95 is going back to basics.

This White/Charcoal makeup of the Air Max icon arrives in a no-frills finish; a lack of gradient, leather and mesh makeup and only two colors used. In fact, the biggest pint of intrigue is the subtle use of ripstop along the upper overlay and tongue and the hex-mesh upper — both of which require some seriously close inspection. But as simple as the pair may be — it bangs. The way the crips whites of the upper and midsole pop off against the grey its eye-popping, and its versatility will ensure that the sneaker sells itself.
