Though it’s widely celebrated on the Air Max 1, the use of safari print has been just as prevalent on the Air Max 95. From a handful of size? exclusive releases, to a slew of in-line general releases, Nike has utilized the silhouette’s ACG origins to its favor. Now another Air Max 95 “Safari” has surfaced, this one evoking memories of the recent “20 for 20” mash-up from the aforementioned retailer.

With earthy hues, safari-print overlays, and pops of vibrant Viotech on the instep, the pair brings about a similar feel to the “What The?”-like release that dropped back in 2020. Here, though, blocking is mirrored from shoe to shoe, and the pair features more straightforward textiles. You’ll note a simple beige mesh starting at the upper, with netted overlays and midsoles proffering a tonal finish. The signature profile overlays cascade from beige to dark brown on the lateral side in safari print, while the medial does the same in shades of purple suede and corduroy. Grey-brown toe caps link with the eyestays, tongues, liners, and outsoles before final pops of magenta at the heel, ankle Swoosh, tongue motif, Air support, and underfoot plate round out the design.
