Another Outdoor-Inspired Air Max 97 Just Dropped!

Nike’s Air Max 97 has been on an unstoppable run since it’s fully-fledged rebirth back in 2017. Since then, it’s been a consistent performer for the brand, delivering banger after banger in what has become the norm for the 23-year-old silhouette. And whilst it’s not celebrating any significant anniversary this year, it refuses to be outshined by it’s neighboring Air Max 90 and Air Max 95 silhouettes. In fact, the model has one huge collaborative partnership lined up for the back end of the year — a three-piece UNDEFEATED collectionthat’s arguably bigger than any anniversary collab this year. But even it’s mainline releases are turning heads, much like this new trail-inspired option that’s just surfaced.

Remaining relatively calm in the lower half, the pair gets busy up top, with an array of vibrant ACG-like colors across its vamp overlays. Denim blue uppers join bold black reflective, a sunny orange, and rich yellow create a mid-80s medley of accents atop an egg-white mudguard. Mint green joind the party, too, featuring across the pair’s liners, pulls, and branding hits. Underneath the color sits a light beige midsole unit that houses black throughout the cushioning system and rests atop a mint-popped black rubber outsole. Capping off the design are trail-inspired laces — black flecked with golden yellow.

An official release date for the pair is still unknown, but this ACG-like Air Max 97 is likely to sneak into select retailers and Nike.com over the coming weeks.
