Nike’s upcoming “Athletic Club” collectionwon’t be the only fictional footwear pack on the way, with a secondary Air Max-specific pack that honors its running roots. The self-proclaimed “Air Max Running Club” collection has already revealed itself in countless options of the Air Max 95, Air Max Plus, and Air Max 90 — and now it’s time for Christian Tresser’s Air Max 97.

The second of two colorways to reveal itself today, this brings bold 70s style to the beloved trainer. Featuring golden-yellow nylon uppers, the pair then presents a slew of shaggy suede overlays in bright blue, red, orange, and gold, before landing on mid panels of red-Swooshed blues. Retro exposed-foam tongues continue the pack’s main themes, as too does AMRC/Beaverton lateral brand tags, retro Nike branding in the back, and chrome Swoosh pins, too.

Pairs of these Nike Air Max 97 “Running Club” have already become available at select Swoosh stockists in Asia, and have already been loaded onto US footsites in preparation for a release soon. When they do hit shelves, we’ll be sure to keep you posted here on our official Twitter account, but until then, enjoy a detailed look at the pair here below.

Update 02.01.22 Nike US has just released pairs of these “Running Club” Air Max 97s right here on their official webstore for $185. Go get ’em.
