We were wondering when the Air Max 97would get a tweak in 2019 — its silhouette has been left untinkered since Sean Wotherspoon took the knife o the pair last year, along with a handful of other sole-swapped hybrids. But since then been left to it’s OG stylings — until now. Sporting a new utilitarian toggle lacing system, these kids-exclusive Air Max 97s arrive in two vastly different colorways; a back-to-basics black and white., and a bold, vibrant-soled Silver Bullet-like makeup. Aside from the aforementioned addition to the lacing system, the style arrives pretty much the same as the OG design, but the addition of icy outsoles on the black pair, and a nothing less than ludicrous sole units to the Silver Bullet keeps these feeling a little further from the standard.
Update 07.15.19 Pairs of the lace-toggled Silver Bullet Air Max 97 have just landed, and are now available directly from Nike.com and Finish Line.
