Available Now // Nike Air Max 97 Winter Utility in Black/Cool Grey
Winter sneaker season is nigh, and only now are we just starting to get out first looks at some of the “Winterized” releases; from the recently-previewed GORE-TEX Air Force 1 collection to the two-piece pack of Winterized Air Max 95s. Now the latter will be joined by a neighboring Air Max, with this Air Max 97 “Winter Utility” joining Nike’s durable wear deployments.
Like the accompanying Air Max 95s, this too offers up all-new durable traction soles in a slightly-speckled grey and an apparent waterproofed one-piece shell upper. 3M overlays are ripped out in favor of thick, rough leathers, which are also found on the pair’s mudguard, and the pair comes complete with utility-style pulls which reiterate the makeup’s design ethos: Durable, Traction, Visibility — with the latter coming into play through its 3M tongue overlays and reflective 3M laces.
The first-up paire arrives in jet black, but you can expect a handful of other colorways to follow shortly. As for a release of the Air Max 97 “Winter Utility,” you’ll have to wait on more info to arrive — but with Nike’s Fall/Winter AF1 catalog leaking yesterday, you can expect the news to drop relatively soon.
