The Tear-Away Air Max 98 is Available Now!

Nike continues to put the creativity in your hands, with yet another customizable release, with another rip-it-up release, this time in the form of a Tear-Away Air Max 98. It joins this previously-previewed Air Force 1 Low that arrives in identical stylings.

Nike has issued this release with a few cautions after a few people burnt (and melted) their tear-away Stranger Things Tailwinds. Cutting lines and “Pull Here” detail on the mudguard and toebox encourage you to tear it up straight away, but if you’re new to it all, Nike has included a few do’s and don’ts on the shoe’s PVC packet; Don’t burn ’em and don’t cut through the seams and leather are the two most important notes. Revealed underneath the frail upper is a leather and suede base, with each panel colored in its own unique hue. From what was revealed by Nike in their official photos, we can see purple suede uppers embroidered with bold yellow strokes, University Blue toe overlays, red mudguards, orange heel panels, and vibrant green upper eyelets. It’s unclear whether the opposing sneaker will mirror this, or have its own unique combo of colors. Completing the design is a classic white sole unit and special graphic insoles.
