The latest Air Max CB ’94 release is a powerful reminder of the longstanding rivalry and close friendship between Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan, two titans of the basketball world.

This new Air Max CB ’94 colorway is a nod to the enduring popularity of black and red colorways in basketball shoes and the close relationship between Barkley and Jordan. These color schemes have dominated offerings from Nike, Inc., influencing both retro and contemporary basketball shoe markets with their bold and dynamic presence.

The sneaker itself captures this essence perfectly. It features a tumbled black leather exterior, laying over a robust Gym Red base layer crafted in suede. This color combination not only harks back to the classic Bulls colors but also resonates with the aesthetic of the 1990s. Adding to the design's dynamic is the ventilation on the upper, revealing a white mesh layer that complements the full white midsole beneath.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Nike has experimented with this color palette on the Air Max CB ’94. In 2010, a similar colorway was released, though with the materials swapped – black suede paired with red leather. This new release, however, sticks to the more traditional leather-suede mix, offering a fresh take on a familiar theme.

The release date for the Nike Air Max CB 94 "Bulls" is expected to be on May 1st. Until then, you can enjoy a first and official look at the pair below.
