Charles Barkley’s OG “Black/Purple” Nike Air Max CB 94 Returns this Month

Update 07.12.23 Official Nike.com imagery for the 2023 OG Black/Purple Nike Air Max CB 94 has been loaded; A release date has been set for August 25th.

Original Post 12.02.22 Nike has had a strong focus on early-90s footwear of late, with retro basketball being the hot-ticket category amongst nostalgic sneakerheads. Penny Hardaway’s footwear has continued its evergreen presence, whilst the Swoosh has also drip-fed a few of Scott Pippen’s More Uptempo. There’s also an indication that the Foamposite will be a big player in the new year. Last seen in 2020, Charles Barkley’s signature line is also expected to play a key role in 2023, with Chuck’s OG Black/Purple Nike Air Max CB 94 expected to return to shelves once more this year.

According to Sole Retriever, the pair — last seen in 2020 — will return under a brand new style code, but it is expected to arrive on par with the last release seen above and below. Again, you can expect true-to-OG white leather uppers and overlays of jet black nubuck, with pops of purple on the inner bootie and Air supports. A black and white sole unit sits underfoot to complete the design.
