Nike’s “Lost & Found” Air Max Pack Revisits the Line’s Earliest Design Language

Nike is preparing something special for Air Max Day 2027, with early looks suggesting a new Air Max “Lost & Found” Pack centered on archival ideas, unreleased colorways, and original design references from some of the line’s most important silhouettes.

Reportedly set for Spring 2027, the pack brings together the Nike Air Max 1, Air Max 90, and Air Max 95, with a friends-and-family Air Max 97 also said to be included in extremely limited numbers. While Nike has not yet officially announced the release, pairs were previewed during Paris Fashion Week, offering an early look at one of the more heritage-heavy Air Max projects on the horizon.

The Air Max 1 appears in a colorway tied to the model’s earliest history, pairing an off-white base with bold red overlays, royal blue hits, and aged-looking midsoles. It carries the familiar late-80s running feel without simply retreading the standard anniversary playbook, offering a version that feels connected to the original Air Max era while still landing as something fresh for collectors.

The Air Max 90 takes a more direct route, returning in an OG “Infrared”-style execution. Cream mesh, light grey suede, black mudguards, and bright infrared panels give the silhouette its classic visual language, while the slightly aged midsole helps push the pair deeper into the “Lost & Found” theme.

The Air Max 95 may be the most interesting of the group. Inspired by one of Sergio Lozano’s original sketches, the pair reworks the gradient runner with layered grey panels, bright citrus accents, pink-tinted Air units, and neon Swoosh detailing. It still reads clearly as an Air Max 95, but the palette and blocking give it a sample-like energy that fits the concept perfectly.

Also expected as part of the project is a friends-and-family Air Max 97, reportedly limited to just 97 pairs. That pair has not yet surfaced, but early reports suggest its design will be linked to Christian Tresser’s original Air Max 97 work, continuing the pack’s focus on the design roots behind Nike’s biggest Air Max icons.

According to early information from Sneaker Market Romania, pairs from the Nike Air Max “Lost & Found” Pack are expected to be limited and individually numbered, with a release currently lined up for Nike.com and select Nike NBHD stores during Spring 2027. Air Max Day 2027 is shaping up as the likely launch window, though official confirmation from Nike has not yet been made.

Expect more details to follow as the release gets closer.
