7-Eleven Sues Nike Over Upcoming Air Max 95 Big Bubble

7-Eleven has filed a lawsuit against Nike over its upcoming Air Max 95 Big Bubble, alleging that the sneaker’s colorway too closely resembles the convenience store chain’s protected branding.

The pair, widely referred to online as a 7-Eleven-inspired Air Max 95, was scheduled to release on July 11, 2026 — a date commonly tied to 7-Eleven’s annual 7/11 promotions. The shoe appears in a Sail, Total Orange, Sport Green, and Metallic Silver color scheme, with layered green, orange, and red accents across the Air Max 95’s signature wavy side panels. Retail is listed at $200.

According to screenshots of the complaint shared by Sneaker Legal, 7-Eleven claims Nike’s footwear uses a “confusingly similar imitation” of its tri-color mark and signature orange, green, and red colors without authorization. The complaint also points to Nike’s planned July 11 launch date, which 7-Eleven argues strengthens the connection between the shoe and the brand.

The filing also notes that the sneaker is not manufactured by 7-Eleven, nor is it associated, affiliated, connected with, licensed, authorized, sponsored, endorsed, or approved by the company. 7-Eleven is seeking to stop Nike from offering, marketing, promoting, or selling the shoe, while also requesting a recall of products already sold or shipped.

In addition to the requested injunction, 7-Eleven is asking for Nike to deliver the shoes and related promotional materials for destruction, along with profits, damages, and treble damages for alleged willful infringement.

The lawsuit also references 7-Eleven’s previous licensed collaborations and product efforts, including examples with Crocs, Sunday Golf, Breezy Golf, and DK Golf, arguing that consumers may associate products using the tri-color mark with official 7-Eleven collaborations.

Nike has not publicly announced the Air Max 95 Big Bubble as an official 7-Eleven collaboration. House of Heat reached out to Nike for comment and has yet to receive a response. The pair also appears to have been removed from Nike SNKRS earlier this morning.
