The Air Max Plus Surfaces in Cool Grey Gradient
The Nike Air Max Plus is currently commemorating its 25th-anniversary milestone, and while we may have to wait a while for some OG retros, avid fans of the Sean McDowell-designed silhouette have been enjoying a fruitful run of contemporary colorways to fill the void. For its next, Nike ditched the vibrancy in favor of a muted, toned-down delivery in cool greyscale.
The mesh base of the sneaker features a gradient that transitions from darker to lighter shades as it moves away from the tongue. TPU overlays adorning the upper boast a semi-translucent finish, harmoniously complementing the bluish profile swooshes nearby. Reinforcement elements at the toe and along the sides adopt a bone-like hue, creating a striking contrast against the pristine white that dominates the midsole beneath. Whale tail-shaped mid-foot shanks also display a captivating gradient, while the Air Max Plus' visible Air units are refreshed with a vibrant aqua-blue touch. Finally, the traction underfoot reverts to the subtle grey tone reminiscent of those seen on the upper.
