An evergreen player in the Nike Sportswear catalog, the Christian Tresser-designedAir Max 97 continues to play a vital role in Nike's regular release roster. Recently, the design took on a seasonal "USA" scheme for summer, with its next looking further ahead to the fall.

This fresh rendition brings a mostly monochromatic palette into play, with dark olive mesh uppers hosting several similar shades across its overlays, tongues, and liners. Streaking whites along the medial line and midsole — as well as the pair's embroidered Swoos detail — break up the sea of green, while charcoal mudguards, Air supports and rubber outsoles round out the design.

Adding an outdoor-inspired twist, the upper features an eye-catching green gradient, with light and dark olive hues ascending along the TPU layers and mesh tongue. A touch of dark evergreen adorns the laces, perfectly complementing the overall design.
